LEED Consulting

The role of INSPEC’s LEED Accredited Professionals can be as minimal as assisting in the “greening” of the project specifications by preparing the specifications which support LEED credits and include requirements for the design and construction team in product selection, to full service accumulation and production of documentation in support of LEED prerequisites/credits. INSPEC can further assist as a LEED consultant by:

• Assistance with consultant selection to ensure the proper team is assembled.

• Assist with site selection and evaluation to ensure that all available credits are earned.

• Facilitate design strategy workshops leading to establishing certification goals.

• Register the project with USGBC.

• Set up the project on LEEDonline and assign team member roles.

• Be the primary contact for documentation assistance, and answering question regarding perquisite/credit intent and review comments.

• Monitor the design effort to ensure that credit goals are being achieved.

• Documenting prerequisites/credits on behalf of project team members.

• Monitoring the submittal process and accumulation of documentation during construction.

• Coordinating and submitting the formal submittals for certification.

 

Dallas Green Building Plan Review and Inspections

As a Dallas Green Building Provider Contractor, INSPEC can provide the 3rd party plan review and inspection services associate with new construction, additions and first time finish outs.  Preliminary Design or Schematic Design drawings can be looked over so the most applicable compliance option can be selected early on in the design process.  Once the compliance option is selected INSPEC will provide guidance for the gathering and organization of documentation to support selected or applicable items.

 

Green Globes Consulting

INSPEC’s Green Globes Professional is able to guide the project team through selection and documentation of sustainable elements to be included in your project as Green Globes certification is attempted.  The needs of each project team will be different, and so INSPEC can tailor the level of service to meet those needs.  Services associated with Green Globes certification could include:

• Facilitate design strategy workshops leading to establishing certification goals.

• Be the primary contact for documentation assistance, answering question regarding credit intent and review comments, and correspondence with the Green Globes Assessor assigned to the project.

• Monitor the design effort to ensure that credit goals are being achieved.

• Assist with Green Globes software subscription purchase.

• Monitor Stage I and Stage II documentation processes.

• Documenting credits on behalf of project team members.

• Coordinating and submitting the formal submittals for certification.
